Bear Valley 2-Night Campout
Our last campout of the season is close to home. Located west of Verdi and east of Hwy 89. This is a remote campsite managed by USDF. There's lots to explore in the surrounding backcountry and several peaks with vantage points of the surrounding wilderness.

What to Bring: Camping supplies, food/water, camp chairs, and warm clothing for the nights. Everyone should bring a bundle or two of campfire wood. Ham radios.
Frequencies: Trail Coms will be at 146.460/alt. 146.050. Local repeaters are Loyalton (440.100), Truckee (145.310), We may be able to hit Peavine at 145.3900, or 443.675
Trail Rating: Unkown, Likely a 3-to-4 with some level 5 trails - Road surfaces are rutted, rocky, and sandy with steps not exceeding 14", with considerable slick rock surfaces. Water not exceeding 12" with some mud possible. Good vehicle approach and departure angles are helpful. Tall tires (33" plus) and traction aid devices (lockers, limited slips, A-TRAC) are optional. Above-average driving skills are desirable. Sliders and skid plates aren't a bad idea.

This is a new location for the club, so be prepared for some adventure! You are welcome to show up at camp anytime you can get away. Friday, Sat, or Sunday morning. Just have your radio on and start to CQ (seek you) once you get in the area.
