When: Friday October 8, 2021 @ 9AM

Where: Desert Creek, Smith Valley NV - to - Mt. Patterson, CA

Meetup: Maverik Gas Station - 1651 NV-88, Minden, NV 89423 to caravan to Desert Creek Rd off Hwy 338.

What to Bring: Warm clothes, cold weather camping gear, recovery gear, charis, food, drinks, ham radio.

• Repeater for approach - Leviathan Peak - 146.655 / 131.8 (Topaz) (alt Conway Summit - 146.880 / 131.8 (Bridgeport))

NOTE: There is another group forming up to come out later in the day on Friday for those who cannot take the day off. Please contact Tony on Facebook or Mud if you'd like to come out with the alternate group. This group will take 395 S and make its way pas Lobdell Lake to get to our planned campsite at 38.45198 -119.33366. Turn on your ham radios and tune to 146.460 once you hit the dirt and call out from time to time until we can communicate. I will let you know if we are at the primary campsite or one of the backup sites.

Trail Scale rating is 4 or 5. Rear locker is a good idea as are sliders and other armor, but not required. Always bring recovery gear! We are crawling up Mt. Patterson and over the peak at 11K+ feet. The plan is to either camp near the peak or down at Lobdell, then drive over the peak to Bridgeport on this trip.
