About the Event
Trail Boss: Scot Martin
Trail Rating: 3-4 - Road surface consisting of loose rock, dirt, and sand with some slickrock surfaces. Erosion, washes, gulches and rock steps no higher than 12". 4WD is recommended with good ground clearance and driving skills. Aggressive tires and limited slip or A-TRAC would be a plus. Water and mud are possible.
Day 1. Leave the Minden Maverick at 8:00 am and take 395 south to Big Pine. Head into Death
Valley National Park via Highway 168 to North Pass and then into the Saline Valley. We will
proceed on the Saline Valley Road until we reach Steel Pass Road. We will proceed about 4
miles to the Saline Valley Warm Springs*. This will be our base camp for 2 nights.
